Journal 'Transport Engineering in Australia' is published twice a year, starting in 1995. Founding Editor was Assoc Prof Geoff Rose (1995-2000). Present Editor is Professor Michael A P Taylor (2001-).

NCTR publishes position papers on issues of importance in transport planning, as part of the papers that appear in 'Transport Engineering in Australia'. Included in these position papers are:
